Really good Cuisine and Convenient Location

comfortable bed delicious breakfast shower room
The room was beautifully decorated, and every need was met. I found plenty of lights and a comfortable bed with good pillows. The room provided a heater and a heated towel rail in the shower room. The breakfasts were delicious and freshly cooked. The continental breakfast was readily available.
The bar closed precisely at 11:00 PM. Staff asked us to finish drinks or take them to the room. I found the assistant manager's behavior somewhat aggressive.

The staff were VERY helpful. I really appreciate their effort to ensure my stay was pleasant. The team found me a table when the restaurant was fully booked. The location allows views of the RSC, a nice bonus.
The room lacked soundproofing, as noise from neighboring rooms was audible.

Mixed experience, Clean but stairs were difficult

steep stairs narrow tread
The bedroom and bathroom were very clean.
My room was above the bar and up very steep stairs. The stairs had a narrow tread, made me fear a fall. Improvements were apparently impossible because it was an old building.

Mixed Experience, Some Issues

faulty shower tap smelly toilets
The room was well-equipped.
The shower tap did not work. My husband had to fix it. It took a long time. The men's toilets reeked of urine walking through the hotel to get to the rooms. I held my breath walking past it.. Terrible, I tell you!!!
